I'm in the market for an eGPU enclosure for my laptop, and I'm currently contemplating two options: the Razer Core X and the Sonnet eGFX Breakaway Box 550. Both of these options offer MacOS support, and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with them in this context. They're likely to function well with a PC, but I'm specifically interested in their compatibility with Hackintosh setups. Naturally, the graphics card I choose will be compatible with MacOS.

I would choose Razer Core X. I don't know about the price, but it will be cheaper and there is much more experience with macOS. This Razer Core X needs a bit of an upgrade to make it quiet.
Razer Core X works ONLY and ONLY based on Thunderbolt 3. You will find a lot of material about Razer Core X and hackintosh.
